Every Hostilo Site Is Now AI-Ready: Automatic llms.txt
People now ask ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity about businesses instead of searching for them. From today every site on Hostilo can have a file written for those assistants: /llms.txt, a short, clean summary of who you are and what you offer. You turn it on with one switch in the For AI tab, and Hostilo does the rest.
What llms.txt is
A website is written for people: menus, animations, scripts, cookie banners. An AI assistant has to dig through all of that to find three facts. llms.txt is a simple Markdown file at the root of a site that gives those facts directly: the name, one sentence about what you do, a list of pages with short descriptions and how to reach you.
What Hostilo does for you
Builds it from your pages.
The title, description, headings, phone, e-mail and contact form are read from your HTML. Nothing is invented: if a page has no description, there is no description line.
Keeps it fresh.
The file is rebuilt a few seconds after every save, from the editor, the API or an AI connector.
Adds the full version.
/llms-full.txt holds the text of all your pages as clean Markdown, for agents that need more than a summary.

Make it better with your own AI
Open your site in the editor and go to the For AI tab. The switch is green when the file is on and red when it is off. Once it is on, you can edit the text and save it as your own version, download it, or click Copy with a prompt for AI. That copies the file together with a ready instruction. Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, get a polished version back, paste it into the same box and save. Changed your mind? Back to automatic restores the generated file.
The Hostilo MCP connector and REST API return the file with get_site. An agent can replace it by publishing a file named llms.txt.
Privacy and control
The file is off by default. A game, a test or a private project does not reach AI assistants until you turn the switch on yourself. You can see the state of every site right in your project list: a green or red “Visible to AI” badge. Password-protected sites never get the file, and scripts and hidden elements are not included. On the free plan the file ends with one line saying the site is hosted on Hostilo; on PRO it does not.
