Publish a Website from Claude or ChatGPT in Under 30 Seconds
Once Hostilo is connected, publishing a page takes one sentence. You ask, the AI writes the page, puts it online and replies with a live HTTPS link. Most of those seconds are the AI writing code. The publishing step itself takes about a second.
The 30-second flow, step by step
Here is what happens after you send a request like “Make a one-page site for my yoga classes and publish it on Hostilo as yoga-anna”:
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 0 s | You send the request. |
| about 5 to 25 s | The AI writes the HTML. This is where almost all the time goes. |
| about 1 s | The AI calls create_site with the finished page (or update_site for a site you already have). Hostilo saves it and serves it over HTTPS. |
| done | The reply ends with https://yoga-anna.hostilo.page. Click it and the page is there. |
Timings depend on the AI model and on how long the page is. The ranges above are for a short landing page, not a lab benchmark.
One-time setup: about a minute
You do this once. After that, every page is one request away.
Add the connector to your AI app
In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste https://hostilo.app/mcp. In ChatGPT and other apps, look for custom connectors or MCP in the settings; which plans can add them is up to each app.
Sign in and allow
Hostilo opens in a window. Sign in the way you normally do and click Allow. More detail in Publish a website straight from Claude, ChatGPT or Perplexity.
Requests that work in one go
Plain language is enough. A few we use ourselves:
- “Create a site called coffee-corner on Hostilo with a one-page menu: header, 8 drinks with prices, opening hours and a map link. Publish it.”
- “Turn this text into a clean CV page and publish it on Hostilo as anna-kowalska-cv.” (then paste your CV)
- “Publish the page you just made on Hostilo as spring-sale.”
- “Make the headline bigger and publish again.”
- “Undo the last change on yoga-anna.”
Ask for them. The connector publishes several files in one call and fixes the links. See Publish a multi-file website from ChatGPT or Claude with one prompt.
No connector? Copy and paste takes about 30 seconds too
If your AI app can’t add connectors, use the dashboard: create a site, paste the code into the editor and press Save (or Ctrl+S). The link works right away, with the same HTTPS and version history.
What you get with that link
- HTTPS on
name.hostilo.page, no setup. - Version history: the last 10 versions, restorable in one click or by asking the AI.
- Visitor statistics for the last 7 days on every plan.
- Free plan: 5 sites, active as long as you sign in or use the connector at least once every 30 days.
- PRO (29 USD a year, net): 20 sites, your own domain and longer statistics.
When it takes longer than 30 seconds
- The first time, because of the one-minute setup.
- Long pages. A site with many sections can take the AI a minute or more to write. Publishing still takes about a second.
- The AI asks you a question first, for example about colours or the site name. Answer it and it carries on.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan includes 5 sites with HTTPS and version history. PRO costs 29 USD a year (net) and adds 20 sites and custom domains.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe the page in plain language and the AI writes and publishes it.
Can I edit the page by hand later?
Yes. Open it in the Hostilo editor, change anything and save. The editor has search (Ctrl+F) for long files.
Which AI apps work?
Any app that supports MCP connectors, for example Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code and Claude Code.
